Associate Director, Analytics

The Analytics Associate Director will report to the Director of Data Insights & Analytics while partnering closely with all other disciplines, including Strategy, Account, PM, Creative and Tech.

The Analytics Manager’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Team Leadership

  • Ensuring the department’s work is of high and consistent quality, delivered on time, and generates valuable and actionable insights to clients and internal teams.
  • Training, elevating, and nurturing junior talent: fostering career growth, helping develop skills, ongoing presentation/story-telling training, providing knowledge of tools and resources, maintaining focus on client's businesses.
  • Identifying client opportunities for our new and existing businesses, and working with Data Insights & Analytics Director, account counterparts, and CSO to build out new opportunities and projects.
  • Help your Analysts build relationships with Tech, Strategy, Account and Production counterparts within the agency. 

Data Insights

  • Creatively approach research asks, utilizing the current tool belt and outside data sources, to provide Strategy with data-backed insights.
  • Lead and inspire social listening analyses that combine additional data sources to generate strong data insights to guide Strategy.
  • Generate audience analyses that help Strategy, Creative, and the clients speak to the right customer group(s).
  • Assemble decks that story-tell with data insights to build collective knowledge with Strategy to inform working with Creative.


  • Leading a team of Analysts to report on multi-channel (web, mobile, social, display, search) digital performance for client teams.
  • Provide data-storytelling; frame analytical findings and recommendations in a clear way to non-technical and non-analytical audiences, both in oral and written presentations
  • Lead Analysts to act as a key day-to-day contact for assigned clients/projects where appropriate to their level; assist them in leading projects through all stages—including creative/experience measurement planning, set-up, QA, launch, analysis, and reporting. 
  • Lead and maintain client conversations and relationships. Act as the creative/digital experience data expert for measurement across all project touchpoints – client brief, research and creative brief, conducting analysis, interpreting results, making recommendations, presenting findings and optimization.

Must have(s):

  • 4+ years of Agency experience (or similar)
  • 1+ years of experience managing and elevating direct reports
  • Experience in creative reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with Social Listening & Analytics tools (e.g. NetBase) 
  • Ability to manage own resources, tasks, deliverables, and managing team and client expectations clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective project management skills and be comfortable communicating directly with clients

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with hands-on web analytics and reporting for e-Commerce brand(s)
  • Experience with Google Analytics/Adobe Omniture/Site-Catalyst suite 
  • SEO experience is a plus
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Tableau), a plus
